]]><![CDATA[A Wheely Great Day!]]>Thu, 11 Jun 2026 23:00:00 GMThttps://pinnerpark.harrow.sch.uk/news-blog/a-wheely-great-dayA group of our pupils had a fantastic time taking part in Harrow’s Wheely Great Treasure Trail at Harrow Rec. The children enjoyed a brilliant, action-packed day filled with all things cycling!
From bike maintenance and cycle skills to a smoothie bike and an air quality workshop, there was something for everyone. The highlight was the exciting treasure trail, where the children worked as a team to complete challenges around the park. The day ended with an incredible BMX stunt performance that had everyone cheering!

Thank you to the team at Harrow Council for hosting such a fun and educational event. We’re proud of how well our children represented Pinner Park and showed great enthusiasm throughout the day.

]]><![CDATA[Pinner Park Goes Global 2026]]>Thu, 11 Jun 2026 23:00:00 GMThttps://pinnerpark.harrow.sch.uk/news-blog/pinner-park-goes-global-2026Pinner Park Primary School came together to celebrate the rich diversity that makes our school community such a special place.

The idea for Pinner Park Goes Global was chosen and organised by our Smart School Council, who wanted to create an opportunity for children to celebrate their cultures, heritage and identities while also raising money for a worthwhile cause.
Throughout the day, children proudly shared aspects of their backgrounds, traditions, languages and family stories. Many children came to school wearing clothing that reflected their culture or heritage, creating a colourful and vibrant celebration of the many communities represented within our school.

Across the school, classes took time to explore and discuss the diversity within their own year groups, recognising both the differences and similarities that make each of us unique. The day provided valuable opportunities for children to learn from one another, develop their understanding of the world around them and celebrate the inclusive values that are so important to our school community.

We are incredibly proud of the respect, curiosity and enthusiasm shown by our children throughout the day. Their willingness to share, listen and learn from one another demonstrated exactly what makes Pinner Park such a welcoming and inclusive school.

As part of the event, the School Council also chose to support Cancer Research UK. We would like to thank everyone who made a donation and helped support this important cause. Donations remain open, and every contribution will help fund life-saving research and bring us closer to a world where more cancers can be successfully treated.

A huge thank you goes to our children, families and staff for embracing the spirit of the day and helping to make it such a success. Most of all, we would like to congratulate our Smart School Council, whose vision, planning and leadership made this wonderful event possible.

Together, we celebrated the diversity that makes our community stronger and demonstrated that, at Pinner Park, every child belongs.

The children participated in four athletics events each, competing for the Pinner Park team.

The children worked hard and did a great job.

They had a full day of making music together with children from other schools and then performed for parents at the end of the day.

]]><![CDATA[Pinner Park at the London Marathon!]]>Mon, 27 Apr 2026 07:06:10 GMThttps://pinnerpark.harrow.sch.uk/news-blog/pinner-park-at-the-london-marathonWe are delighted to share some fantastic news from the weekend – all five of our pupils successfully completed the TCS Mini London Marathon on Saturday!  Another pupil represented Harrow in the Under 12 Championship earlier in the day.

Taking on the 2.6km course in central London is no small feat, and each of our runners rose to the challenge brilliantly. They showed determination, resilience and a real sense of pride in representing Pinner Park Primary School. From the excitement at the start line to the incredible atmosphere along the route and the triumph of crossing the finish line, it was an unforgettable experience for them all.

Events like this are about so much more than running. Our pupils demonstrated courage, commitment and a willingness to push themselves beyond their comfort zone—qualities we value highly at Pinner Park. They supported one another, embraced the occasion and truly embodied our school spirit throughout.

​We are incredibly proud of each and every one of them for this outstanding achievement. Completing the Mini Marathon is something they will remember for years to come, and it is a wonderful milestone in their personal journeys.

Thank you to families for your support and encouragement—it made a real difference on the day.

We are proud to share some fantastic news with our school community.

Following a recent external review, Pinner Park Primary School has successfully retained its Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM) Flagship Status — a national recognition awarded to schools that demonstrate exceptional inclusive practice.

During the review, the assessor spent the day meeting with pupils, staff, parents and governors, as well as visiting classrooms across the school. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive.

The report highlights:
  • Our warm and welcoming school community, where children feel safe, happy and valued
  • The dedication and expertise of our staff in supporting all pupils, including those with additional needs
  • The strong focus on language, communication and writing, helping children to express themselves with confidence
  • Our commitment to supporting children’s wellbeing and emotional development
  • The importance we place on working closely with parents

One parent shared how supported they felt by the school, describing how staff “know the children so well” and make thoughtful adaptations to meet individual needs.

The report also recognises how reflective we are as a school, always looking for ways to improve and provide the very best for every child.

We are incredibly proud of this achievement, which reflects the hard work of our staff, the support of our families, and the wonderful attitudes of our pupils.
