After more than a year of searching, we finally have someone in post to help keep our children safe on their journeys to and from school. Please give her a warm welcome, show her your support, and always follow her directions. Together, we can make Headstone Lane safer for everyone.

Our Year 6 children enjoyed a fantastic evening of fun, friendship, and food at their end-of-year celebration party. There was plenty of laughter as the children spent time together playing outdoor games, sharing memories, and tucking into delicious pizza. It was a joyful way to mark the end of their primary school journey and celebrate all they have achieved. A huge thank you to the staff who helped make the evening so special. We’re proud of each and every one of our Year 6 pupils and wish them all the best as they prepare for the exciting adventures ahead in secondary school! Two of our Year 2 classes put on a vibrant and energetic performance this week, showcasing their incredible learning from a half-year music unit with Harrow Music. Parents and staff were treated to a rich celebration of Ghanaian culture, including traditional drumming, dance, and singing. The children performed with enthusiasm and confidence, clearly enjoying the rhythms and movements they’ve been mastering over the term. A huge thank you to the Harrow Music team for their expert teaching and to our brilliant pupils for sharing such joy and talent! Our talented Year 6 pupils took to the stage this week with their fantastic performance of What’s the Crime, Mr Wolf? – a witty and energetic musical that had the audience laughing, clapping, and thoroughly entertained! With a cast of fairy tale characters caught up in a courtroom mystery, the production showcased our children’s brilliant acting, singing, and comedic timing. From Big Bad Wolf to Little Red Riding Hood, every child brought their role to life with confidence and enthusiasm. The show was the culmination of weeks of hard work, rehearsals, and team effort – and what a performance it was! A huge thank you to the staff team who supported the children every step of the way, and to our families for being such a wonderful audience. We’re incredibly proud of our Year 6 pupils – they truly shone on stage and created memories that will last a lifetime. Mr Waxworth and his busy team are eager to do their part in the world, except for one bee – Grumble Bee! However, as the colonies begin to collapse, Grumble Bee begins to understand and appreciate her value and what she can bring to keep the bees buzzing brightly! The Year 2 children told this important story superbly this week! |
