This week, we were delighted to welcome the Breck Foundation to Pinner Park for a series of online safety events for children, staff, and parents. The week began with an evening parent and carer session, where families heard Breck’s story – a powerful and moving reminder of the importance of talking openly with children about the risks they may face online. Parents also learned practical strategies for starting conversations, spotting signs of concern, and knowing where to go for help. On Wednesday, all pupils in Years 1–6 took part in engaging assemblies, carefully designed for their age group. The sessions helped children understand how to keep themselves safe online, who they can talk to if they are worried, and why it’s so important to make positive choices when using the internet. Our staff team also had dedicated training, ensuring that we continue to embed consistent messages across the school and remain alert to the safeguarding issues children may encounter online. These sessions have been both impactful and important, strengthening our shared commitment – as a school and community – to protect children in the digital world. We’ll be sharing resources with families to help continue the conversation at home, along with a link to the recording of the parent briefing for anyone who was unable to attend. 👉 Find out more about the Breck's story and the Breck Foundation here: https://www.breckfoundation.org

Ahoy there, mateys! Today’s lunch was a swashbuckling success thanks to our amazing team from Nourish Contract Catering. From pirate ships to treasure maps (and plenty of delicious grub), the children enjoyed a feast fit for the high seas! A big thank you to our brilliant kitchen crew for making lunchtimes such an adventure. Our Nursery and Reception children have made a fantastic start to the new term! It’s been lovely to see them settling in so confidently – making new friends, exploring their classrooms, and enjoying their learning. Over the summer, our school computer suite has had a complete makeover! Every computer and set of headphones has been replaced, meaning our children can now enjoy using modern, efficient equipment that supports their learning brilliantly. This exciting upgrade has only been possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our PTA, who funded the replacement and installation costs in full. We are so grateful to the PTA for their hard work in fundraising, and to every parent and carer who has supported their events and initiatives. The new suite will make a real difference to our children’s computing lessons, giving them the best tools to learn, create, and explore. Thank you once again for making this possible! Over the summer holidays, our upper school building has undergone a major transformation – every single window has been replaced!
The old 1930s Crittall, single-glazed, metal-framed windows have now gone, and in their place are brand-new, double-glazed UPVC windows. These modern replacements are a big improvement in many ways:
This project represents a big step forward in improving our school environment for both pupils and staff. We are delighted with the results and grateful that this investment will benefit the school community for many years to come. |
