The Year 1 children at Pinner Park Primary School recently embarked on an exciting adventure as part of their unit on transport. The trip began with a walk to North Harrow Station, where the children took the underground train to Rickmansworth. From there, they continued their journey on foot to Batchworth Lock, home of the Rickmansworth Waterways Trust. At the lock, the children enjoyed a hands-on learning experience, including a trip on a canal boat, offering them a unique perspective on the waterways and their history. The visit was both educational and enjoyable, providing insights into transport methods past and present. After their time at the lock, the children retraced their steps, completing the return journey by underground train and walking back to school. It was an unforgettable experience, filled with discovery and adventure!
