Today, parents were treated to a wonderful Christmas Mini-Concert, celebrating the hard work, commitment and talent of our young musicians. The concert featured performances from our school band, recorder ensemble and Year 6 choir, who performed with confidence and pride. The programme was impressively wide-ranging, reflecting both technical skill and creativity. Pieces included Beethoven, My Heart Will Go On, festive favourites, the contemporary hit Sigma Boy, and a fantastic original composition written by the children themselves, Forest at Night. It was a joy to see the children supporting one another, listening carefully, and performing with such maturity. Opportunities like this not only develop musical skills but also build confidence, teamwork and a sense of achievement. We would like to say a huge thank you to Miss Atkins, our Music Lead, whose passion for music and high expectations ensure that children across the school have the opportunity to experience, perform and create music of a very high standard. Her dedication was clearly reflected in the quality of the performances and the enthusiasm of the children. We are incredibly proud of everyone involved and grateful to the parents who joined us to share in this special celebration of music. 'Studio' Recordings Video

We were delighted to welcome the Harrow Music Staff to Pinner Park Primary School today for a wonderful Christmas Concert enjoyed by pupils and staff alike. The concert band was made up of instrumental music teachers from Harrow Music, including several who teach our own children at Pinner Park. It was a real pleasure for pupils to see their teachers performing together as professional musicians and sharing their love of music live on stage. The programme was thoughtfully chosen and hugely engaging, featuring a mix of Christmas classics, orchestral showpieces and a fun, contemporary surprise with music from K-Pop Demon Hunters. This variety kept pupils captivated throughout and demonstrated the breadth of styles and opportunities available through instrumental music learning. The concert was not only a joyful festive experience but also an inspiring one, showing pupils where music lessons can lead and highlighting the importance of high-quality music education within our school community. We would like to thank the Harrow Music Staff for such a fabulous performance and for bringing festive cheer and musical inspiration to Pinner Park. It was a memorable way to celebrate the season and a lovely reminder of the strong partnership we share. Our Year 1 children lit up the hall this week with their brilliant performances of Christmas with the Aliens, a wonderfully imaginative nativity with a cosmic twist! Families were treated to a joyful mix of storytelling, singing and dancing as our young performers told the traditional Christmas story through the eyes of a group of curious visitors from outer space. The children brought huge energy and enthusiasm to every scene — from the starry-eyed aliens, to the lively songs that had the whole audience smiling. What made the performances truly special was the confidence, teamwork and sheer delight shown by every child on stage. Their hard work over the past few weeks really paid off, and it was a joy to see them perform with such pride. A huge thank you to the Year 1 teaching team for their creativity and dedication in bringing the production to life, and to parents and carers for your support with costumes, lines and endless humming of the songs at home! Well done, Year 1 — you were out of this world! 🌟👽🎄 Our Winter Glow Festival was spectacular, filling the school grounds with colour, excitement and festive cheer. Families, staff, and volunteers came together for an unforgettable evening that truly showcased the spirit of our school community. From the moment the gates opened, the site was buzzing with activity. Children enjoyed a huge range of stalls and games, while families sampled delicious treats from our food trucks and the Pinner Park Café. Santa Story Time proved to be magical, with little faces lighting up at each visit. The funfair rides added an extra thrill, and the glow shop brought even more sparkle to the night. One of the highlights of the evening was, of course, the laser shows, which lit up the playground in two stunning performances. The atmosphere was electric, and it was wonderful to see so many families gathered together, enjoying the moment. None of this would have been possible without the incredible efforts of our PTA, our fantastic team of volunteers, and the many staff members who supported the event behind the scenes. Their hard work, creativity and enthusiasm ensured that the festival ran smoothly and safely from start to finish. We are also deeply grateful to our generous sponsors – gold, silver and bronze – whose support helped us to offer such a wide range of activities and experiences for families to enjoy. Most of all, thank you to our wonderful children and families for joining us, supporting the stalls, and bringing such warmth and joy to the evening. Your smiles, laughter and festive spirit made the event truly special. |
