This week, six of our Year 4 and Year 5 pupils have proudly represented Pinner Park Primary School at YESfest Harrow 2025 – a two-day environmental summit bringing together children from across the Borough to take action for our planet. Hosted by Harrow School and West Lodge Primary, and supported by inspiring partners such as the Eden Project, Green Schools Project, and Harrow Nature Conservation Trust, the event is all about empowering young people to care for the environment and make a real difference in their local communities. Our pupils took part in a packed programme of hands-on, nature-focused learning – from biodiversity studies and creative art workshops, to climate action sessions and even an introduction to beekeeping! They camped out at West Lodge, and enjoyed storytelling around the campfie, strengthening their connection to the natural world. The children were the fortunate representatives from over 30 thoughtful and passionate applications, and they are brilliant ambassadors for our school and its values. We’re incredibly proud of the way they’ve embraced this opportunity to learn, reflect and lead.
