Pupils take national curriculum assessments in year 6 at the end of KS2, when most pupils will reach age 11 by the end of the school year. Pupils take tests (commonly referred to as SATs) in reading, maths and grammar, punctuation and spelling (GPS) and receive a statutory teacher assessment (TA) in writing.
To reach the expected standard in all of reading, writing and maths (combined), a pupil must achieve a scaled score of 100 or more in reading and maths tests and an outcome of at least ‘reaching the expected standard’ in writing TA.

Pupils are assessed at the end of key stage 1 (year 2) in reading, writing and maths. Pupils take tests (commonly referred to as SATs) in reading and maths, the results of which support the teacher assessments.

The phonics screening check is taken individually by all children in Year 1 in June. It is a 40-word check which assesses phonics skills and knowledge learned through Reception and Year 1. To reach the 'expected standard' a child must read at least 32 words accurately.

Finance Information
Pinner Park Primary School is a maintained community school. Maintained schools are those that are funded and controlled by the local education authority (in our case, Harrow Council). The Governing Board has a strategic role in the financial management of the school. Their key responsibilities include, setting financial priorities through the school development plan, 3 year financial plan and the annual budget. They also decide on how the school’s delegated budget should be spent in accordance with the school improvement plan and statutory curriculum requirement.
