​School Times and Holiday Dates

The School Day

Nursery
  • Morning session: 8.50am – 11.50am
  • Afternoon session: 12.20pm – 3.20pm

Reception to Year 2
  • School Day: 8.45am – 3.15pm

Year 3 to Year 6
  • School Day: 8.45am – 3.20pm

Each day starts with a 10 minute 'soft start' to enable a calm and orderly start to the school day.

The total compulsory hours provided in a typical week are 32.1.  If children arrive at the start of the 'soft start' each day, they will be in school for 32.5 hours (or 32.9 in KS2).

 *At Christmas, Easter and the end of the school year, Lower School will close at 1.50pm and Upper School at 2.00pm.
 
In-service training days for teachers:
  • Thursday 1 September 2022
  • Friday 2 September 2022
  • Friday 21 October 2022
  • Tuesday 3 January 2023
  • Friday 26 May 2023
In addition, school will be closed on Monday 1 May 2023 (May Day Bank Holiday) and Monday 8 May 2023 (King's coronation bank holiday).

Nursery and Reception Dates - Please note:
There is an induction period in September for all children in Reception and Nursery classes.  These dates will be published separately.
 
Leave of Absence:
Children are expected to attend school every day during the academic year. Absence for holidays during term time is not permitted and this will be recorded as unauthorised. (This includes finishing school early at the end of term or returning late at the start of term). Thank you for your support with this.
