Introduction
During the Coronavirus pandemic, schools have developed their ability to provide a high quality education even when the pupils and staff are not physically in school. Since March 2020 we have continually developed our approach to ensure that we made the most of the opportunities afforded through new technologies.
Now that the legal measures that were in place to restrict the spread of coronavirus have ended, schools no longer have a legal duty to provide remote education. School attendance is mandatory for all pupils of compulsory school age.
There will be some occasions where children are unable to attend school. This will mostly be where children are unwell. We would not expect children to complete work at home if they are too unwell to attend school. We will provide remote education to pupils in circumstances when, for reasons except illness, in-person attendance is either not possible or contrary to government guidance.
If your child is absent from school for any reason, we hope that the following resources will be helpful for you. If your child is unwell, then the priority is always for them to get better and to return to school!

Information about the school curriculum
Information about the school curriculum for each year group and in each subject is available by clicking the 'curriculum' menu above. In the year group section you will find a curriculum 'snapshot' for each half term and for each year group with further links to knowledge organisers and useful sources of information. This is a useful starting point for every child and family.
Reading, reading, reading
Reading is the key to unlock learning. If your child is off school for any reason, then reading is the most important aspect of the curriculum which can be continued at home. We know that children who read regularly, from a wide range of texts, tend to be very successful in school.
