During our lunchtimes, our staff team are always on the look out for children who are 'Playground Stars'. These are the children who are playing well, being a great friend, being polite and respectful, helping to tidy away, supporting others and being kind. The lunchtime team can award 'stars' which are then transferred to a chart back in class. Each star gives one entry into our special raffle. Earlier in the year, children won some amazing prizes - toys, games, and even a scooter. This time round, none of the prizes can be bought in a shop. The are 'Prizes beyond Price'. These included an extra playtime, an extra non-uniform day, getting to sit on the benches in assembly, and an ice-lolly with the headteacher! Well done to all our winners. ![]() The UK's month-long nature challenge We're taking part in 30 Days Wild, The Wildlife Trusts' annual nature challenge where they ask the nation to do one 'wild' thing a day every day throughout June. Your daily wild activities can be anything you like - you might be having breakfast with the birds on Monday, feeling the grass between your toes on Tuesday, and watching wildlife webcams on Wednesday. There’s no set structure, so you can take part in a way that suits you. Alongside benefiting your local wildlife, taking part in 30 Days Wild is scientifically proven to make you feel happier, healthier, and more connected to nature! We're talking to the children about 30 Days Wild in assembly and in class, and we want you to join in at home too. Thanks to everyone who has joined in so far and sent us some photos!
