We asked you to recreate some book covers and you didn't disappoint! We will announce the winners on Monday. If we have missed your design, please email [email protected] to let us know (and please accept our apology - we won't choose the winners until we're sure we've got everyone!)

Shiv and Krish were inspired by Captain Tom Moore and decided to raise funds to support the heroes in this pandemic.
They're cycling 100 continuous laps of their garden (6 km) each day for seven consecutive days. Well done boys! If you want to make a donation... https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/shiv-chauhan-and-krish-chauhan-garden-cycling-challenge Well done to all our families. We are so impressed with the effort you are all making with your home learning. Thank you! In line with our policy, if you or your child feature in any photo and you would prefer it not to be on our website, please email [email protected] and we will remove it.
Thanks to everyone who sent photos in last week. This week, we want to create our very own, Pinner Park Pop Video! Simply film yourself (and your family if they want to be in the video!) and send it in to: [email protected]. We’ll take a small chunk of your clip and create a single video. Should be fun! Please follow these guidelines:
The completed video will be uploaded to YouTube as an unlisted video and will be linked from our school website. Please only send a video in if you give permission for your clip to be edited and used in this way. Each week we're setting a community challenge to help us to stay connected to each other. The first challenge was to send a photo of you in action - getting on with your home learning. Well done everyone! This challenge is now closed. Please keep your eye out for future challenges. One of our challenges for World Book Day was for children to dress up or decorate a potato, based on a book character. Take a look at the pictures below - do you recognise the book characters? Well done to all the children (and staff) who took part. Thanks to parents for supporting your children's efforts! On Monday, we talked to the children in assembly about Shrove Tuesday and Lent. Lent is a period of time in the Christian church calendar which starts on ‘Ash Wednesday’ and leads up to Easter every year. Traditionally, Christians mark Lent by giving something up, but what if we could do more than that? During the 28 school days of Lent we’re inviting our children, staff and families to take part in simple acts of kindness. We’re ‘giving something back’ instead of ‘giving something up’. Small acts of kindness, performed by everyone in our school and community, has the power to make a big change to our school, community and, ultimately, to our world. Below is a family chart which you can use at home. Let’s get the wave of kindness moving all over Pinner!
We have had a few queries about the recent outbreak of coronavirus. We will continue to follow the advice from the government and we advise parents to use the following web link for up to date information: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/wuhan-novel-coronavirus-information-for-the-public. Please remember that the advice is regularly updated.
If parents or families have returned from visits abroad, please follow the advice on the government website. We will continue to remind all our staff, children and families about sensible hygiene precautions including the use of tissues and hand-washing (see below). This is not new - this is good, all year round, advice! We love reading at Pinner Park School. Our children and staff have discovered that reading can take place any time, any place, anywhere! Have you been caught reading in a unique, unusual or exciting place? Send your photo to [email protected] and it will appear in our gallery below! Wow! The two finalists in the Jack Petchey West London Schools Table Tennis Championship U11s are brothers from Pinner Park! Well done boys! Winner and Runner-Up! The tournament winner has qualified for the Butterfly Individual Championships that will be played in Wolverhampton in April, playing against the best players in the country. And both boys have been invited to the Jack Petchey London Schools’ Table Tennis Finals taking place in April. Best wishes for your next tournament! Note: It is our policy not to name pupils alongside photos.
