Chartwell’s, our catering provider, are recruiting.
All roles are Term Time only and during school hours. For further information about these positions please contact Barbara Kelly on 07468 710763 or email on [email protected] Our first half term was full of sporting activity with many children participating in sports clubs, and also representing the school at sporting events. On 3rd October we took a group of children to Harrow Leisure Centre to take part in a Harrow Schools Dodgeball competition. The children had a great time playing lots of schools every game was really exciting. The key stage 2 children have been playing on Tuesday lunchtime with Mrs Holland, everyone is welcome to join in. On 11th October a group of children and 3 sports leaders went to Aspire in Stanmore to take part in a Harrow schools Boccia tournament. This is a skill game where everyone tries to get their ball nearest to the white ball. The children did really well and scored lots of points and worked extremely well as a team. Boccia club is on Friday in the MUGA for key stage 2 children. On a very wet and windy Saturday morning we attended the Years 5 and 6 7-a-side football competition at Barnet FC at the Hive. We played all our games in our league and progressed to the semi-final where we lost 1-0 to West Lodge. The boys played some terrific football and the games were all very hard fought. Well done boys for giving up your Saturday morning to play. We are now having 'whole school' assemblies on Monday mornings. This means that our children from Year One through to Year 6 are meeting together. We are meeting in two halls (because we don't have the space to fit in one) but we are very much 'one school' meeting together. This morning we were considering what it means to be ready, respectful, safe and kind, with a particular focus on kindness. We watched this video clip as part of our time together... Getting active can be difficult. But we're here to help. Walking for Health is England’s largest network of health walk schemes with over 360 active walking schemes, helping people across the country lead a more active lifestyle. The walks are short and over easy terrain, and are open to everyone but are especially aimed at those who are least active. You can join health walks each week, starting here at Pinner Park Primary School! Harrow Health Walks are FREE and provide local residents with an opportunity to walk regularly in a relaxed and friendly environment and enjoy some beautiful green spaces. The walks are led by qualified and insured volunteer walk leaders, who encourage you to walk at your own pace. Everyone is welcome, regardless of age and fitness level. Around 300 people every month are already walking their way to health in Harrow. Walking for Health is a great way to meet new like minded people and explore your local area without having to worry about getting lost or having to plan your route! No need to book in advance - you can just turn up on the day. All you need are some comfy shoes! Our walks take place every Wednesday and Friday, starting at 9am, meeting by the bicycle storage on the upper school playground. All are welcome!
